Debra LaFave was 24 years old when she pleaded guilty to having sex with a teenage pupil – a salacious story that made international headlines in 2004 due to the novelty of a teacher-student relationship and LaFave’s striking looks.
The victim told authorities he engaged in sex acts with LaFave on multiple occasions during a four-day period that included sex in a vehicle that was allegedly being driven by the victim’s cousin.

LaFave now lives in Tampa, Fla., a short drive from the middle school she once taught at, with twin boys from a previous marriage.
The now 37-year-old recently married for a second time, according to the report.
“She makes no excuses for what she did,” Zuniga added. “She has always owned up to it.”

Written by Zuniga, LaFave’s biography – Debra Lafave: A Crown of Beauty for Ashes – describes LaFave as a beautiful monster whose back story was completely ignored by media at the time of her crimes.
“This book is for anyone who has ever needed a second chance at life,” Zuniga said in a YouTube video introducing the book last December.
Constantly hounded with media requests, LaFave reportedly isn’t interested in any more attention.
