Pinus mugo var. Pumilio, commonly called the dwarf mountain pine or mugo pine, is conifer native to Europe in the family of Pinacae. They have a very short and dense growth habit, reaching heights of just 3 to 5 feet tall at maturity. Pinus mugo var. pumilio is an excellent species for bonsai material. Hardy to zone 2 through 7.

Plant the seeds ¼” deep in a well draining potting soil. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet and keep between 70°F to 80°F for best results. Germination typically takes between 7 and 20 days.
