The world’s third shortest man is Khagendra Thapa Magar from Nepal. Magar is just 26 inches tall and suffers from primordial dwarfism. A businessman discovered him in the Baglung district of Nepal in 2006.
Known as the “Little Buddha,” Magar was declared the shortest man in the world on October 14, 2010. However, on June 12, 2011, he lost the crown to Junrey Balawing. Magar used to be part of a dancing troupe in Nepal and India and now promotes tourism as a goodwill ambassador for the region.
According to his doctor, Magar has the body of a three-year-old and thinks and behaves like one as well. The Nepalese man suffers from learning difficulties and enrolled at a local nursery school in 2009 to learn how to read and write.
