USB to LPT (DB25/DB37) TCPUA Trigger Box from Cortech Solutions allows sending 24-bit trigger markers from any computer via the USB port to the trigger port of an biosignal acquisition system (typically used for EEG systems).

The TCPUA from Cortech Solutions is a USB to LPT/Parallel Port that allows for sending 24-bit trigger markers from your stimulation presentation computer via USB to your biosignal acquisition system. TCPUA comes with a USB port to connect the stimulation presentation computer as well as DSUB-25 (female) and DSUB-37 (female) ports. The DSUB-25 and DSUB-37 ports can be configured as either output ports ("sending" triggers to a 3rd party system) or input ports ("accepting" triggers from a 3rd party system). This specialized port is directly supported in Presentation, SuperLab and MATLAB DAQ Toolbox.

It has been tested and verified to perform with similar latencies than a standard PCI parallel port on Windows XP and Windows 7 64-bit. Rise time for trigger output (from software command to realization) tested as 0.3-0.5 msec under Presentation, and lag on ports used in input mode is comparable. Total round trip time on a loopback test under Presentation was 0.6 to 1 msec. Driver available from www.neurospec.com/Support
