In this 21-year-old comparative test plantation of Siberian larch (arrowed), European larch and hybrids, the photograph, taken in September, illustrates clearly the fact that Siberian larch is the first to change foliage colour from green to a golden yellow. Average height of the Siberian larch (Chirinsk provenance) was 6.6 m at age 15 years. Location of experimental site: Dablon, Dechene County, Québec, Canada.
