Common Name: alpine totara, mountain totara, snow totara
Origin/Ecology: Native to New Zealand.
Habit: Dense and bushy. Horizontal growth habit, growing to 3′ tall, 6′ wide.
Leaves: Dark green needles have a slight bluish cast.

Flowers and Fruit: Occasionally produces red berries.

Water Use, Soil: Drought tolerant once established.
Exposure: Full sun to dappled shade.
Landscape Uses: Rock gardens, ground cover. Can be sheared to form low hedge.
