In addition to tumblr, there are many shrines (websites) which provide mounds of information, media, and other assorted Mew and Mewtwo content. Unfortunately, most of them are no longer updated but they are still enjoyable to visit.
Back in the ancient days of the internet, there were multiple shrines dedicated to Mew and Mewtwo. Shrines were websites that focused on a particular character or a select population, rather than being generalized. I do not know what happened the Mew-centric shrines and most of the Mewtwo ones have gone to the dust. Yet a few do remain…
In addition to shrines, I have provided links to Youtube videos so you can have access to multimedia!
SHRINES/OTHER WEBSITES
Kokowa Dokoda
Older archived version here.
Kokowa Dokoda is by far my favorite of the Mewtwo shrines. It is stuffed with hidden information, compelling essays, and content pertaining to the Japanese version of Mewtwo - stuff you will not find anywhere else. I owe it to this individual for teaching me so much about Mewtwo. If there is one website you must visit, let it be this one!
Copycat
This is another classic Mewtwo shrine, with content such as cultural differences, scans of The Birth of Mewtwo radio drama booklet, lots of fun. It is still maintained, although updated rarely. Great shrine!
Mewtopia
Mewtopia is the very first of the great Mew and Mewtwo shrines, having existed since 1999. It was here that I discovered characters such as Ai, Miyamoto and Madame Boss, and learned about the radio drama.
I Am²
This is a tribute to Ai (Amber), perhaps the most influential person in Mewtwo’s life. It explains all aspects of her.
The Godfather
A shrine dedicated to Mewtwo’s former “owner” and lifelong enemy, Sakaki/Giovanni. Remember that if it were not for Sakaki there would also be no Mewtwo…
The Mewtwo Codex
This is a unique website dedicated to limitless Mewtwo merchandise, from clothing to keychains, books to kitchen items… you name it. (Thanks, ctrlaltdel-123!)
Bulbapedia
Almost every Pokémon fan is aware of Bulbapedia, the ultimate wikia for anything related to the franchise. It is not extensive for Mew and Mewtwo information, but it does provide enough to be worthwhile on this list. Hey, if all else, you can double-check at what level Mew learns Aura Sphere and get some trivia on Mewtwo. Bulbapedia is a great “go-to” source and I use it frequently.
MULTIMEDIA
Myuutsu no Gyakushuu/Mewtwo’s Counterattack (Mewtwo Strikes Back) can be watched at this Youtube link. It’s subbed!
The subbed version of the ten-minute short Myuutsu no Tanjou (The Birth of Mewtwo) is available here. Keep in mind that it is a summarized version of the third track in the radio drama known as “Mewtwo and Ai”.
The Myuutsu no Tanjou (The Birth of Mewtwo) radio drama is available here, transcribed into English for understanding. The link goes to Part 1 - “The Phantom Mew” - but you can find all five parts on the channel.
