Natural parks in Cordoba

Cordoba has four main natural parks in its province. Cordoba has a large mountain range with an endless number of animals and different types of plants where we can find different routes for hiking or even villages in the middle of the mountains. Natural Park of Cardeña-Montoro

This natural park is located at the end of the province and is part of the region of Los Pedroches. The Subbetica Natural Park

Another important natural park would be the natural park of the Subbetica which is located in the south of the province of Cordoba. In this park we can also enjoy a great variety of both fauna and flora, although its main attraction is the cave of bats that is located in the town of Zuheros and its castle. This natural area is not only a natural park but it is also recognized as a geopark by UNESCO in Europe. The Lagunas del Sur Nature Reserve

Finally, the province of Cordoba also has a natural park called Reserva Natural Lagunas del Sur. This space is composed of several wetlands and is famous for being a hibernation and nesting area for birds. Its waters come from the subsoil, from subway aquifers that can reach up to 13 meters deep.
