Harrison was named a unanimous All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.

It's the second straight year Harrison has earned the honor, only the fifth Buckeye in program history to be so recognized in back-to-back seasons, and just the 10th in Big Ten conference history. The other OSU greats to have done it were Archie Griffin, Orlando Pace, Bob Ferguson and Howard "Hopalong" Cassady.

Harrison, a junior who still has not announced whether he'll return to Ohio State next season, caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns this year. He also ran for another score in a three-touchdown effort against Michigan State last month.

The son of Hall of Famer and former NFL great Marvin Harrison Sr. also was named the Big Ten's best offensive player and the Biletnikoff Award winner, which goes to college football's top wide receiver every year. Harrison was invited to last week's Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York City, where he finished fourth in voting.

An hour after this news posted, Harrison earned the Silver Football, an award given annually by the Chicago Tribune to the Big Ten's best football player. Recent OSU winners include Justin Fields, Chase Young, Dwayne Haskins, J.T. Barrett and Ezekiel Elliott.

It's still not known whether Harrison will play in Ohio State's Cotton Bowl game against Missouri in Texas on Dec. 29.
