'Lemon Flare' is another miniature weeping spruce selection by our friend and conifer legend, Robert Fincham, of Conoseium Gardens. 'Lemon Flare' is the result of some of his hybrid work with Picea abies 'Gold Drift', which has created a collectable series of weeping golden spruces. 'Lemon Flare' gives a flare of lemon-yellow color in the new growth. 'Lemon Flare' may reach 2-3 ft in height and width in 10 years with a nice spreading and weeping habit. Its foliage is dense yet airy, creating a unique texture and providing a subtle contrast in the garden. The weeping habit creates a graceful, cascading aesthetic that's perfect for adding a bit of drama and movement.
