I am reviewing solely based upon the momos and the service. Absolutely delicious momos with perfect Nepali aachar sauce - wonderful balance of flavor and spice.
The service could not be nicer, the folks who work here clearly care and it shows.
One day I'll get something else on the menu, but when the momos are this good, it's hard to resist getting them!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 183328636Aug 31, 2023
We were craving some healthy lunch options when on vacation and we loveeeeeed lunch at Public cafe. It was the meal we talked about as our fav when in Cape Cod, which was surprising!
The veg momo was sooooooo delicious. Well seasoned and fresh ingredients. The curry rice was also delicious though I will say I expected a fried rice adjacent meal and it was more a veg curry with a side of white rice. This portion was enormous! The Mediterranean panini was also much yum with great combo of flavors. We really loved our whole meal and would be regulars here if we lived near by. Food took about 15 mins to be cooked to order and staff was friendly. Casual, humble vibes inside but welcoming. There were 2 outdoor table options and 4 indoor. Run to Public Cafe!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 13, 2023
Delicious food in a quaint beach town. I was passing through Chatham on an early Sunday morning looking for a matcha latte and Public Cafe popped up on my search. I knew I had to go.
The idea of being able to eat yummy poke at 10am with an iced matcha latte made me so happy.
It got extremely crowded in the cozy space but the staff worked quickly to get everyone served in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julia N.Saint Louis, MO0387Apr 21, 2024
O M G! So unbelievably delicious, fresh, and great price! The owner is so kind and the food is just... perfection. I got the breakfast burrito where it comes with this side of curry vegetables you can dunk in, and my fiancé got the breakfast sandwich and it had the PERFECT runny yolk. You must visit, cannot recommend enough!!

I may be writing a review every year for this place as it is one of my FAVORITES in Chatham.
This time I had the chicken veggie stir fry. And beloved had the BLAT sandi'. Both flavorful and excellent as usual.
Highly recommend Public Cafe if you're craving Asian food in Chatham.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 7, 2021Previous reviewCitizens :D I just had the best curry, breakfast burrito, the Aaludum Burrito. It's loaded with egg, potato, cauliflower, chickpeas and green peas. SOOOOOO GOOD. I also indulged in their blueberry scone, very moist.
I've been wanting to try this cafe for a few years since I saw that they had dumplings on their menu and heard they're run by a very sweet Nepalese family. Well... now I'm hooked.
Looking forward to having the dumplings next... and kimchi, pork sandwich... and fried rice. - Jul 26, 2023
Absolute gem in Chatham! First timer in Chatham, and the friends I came to town with come back to this place year after year (and I can see why). Super unique Asian leaning offerings with vegan options as well. LOVED the kimchi grilled cheese (be forewarned this is a hefty sandwich) and the dumplings for an app to share (or eat all by yourself). Didn't have drinks/coffee myself, but 5 stars for food!

Great food. Such a find and sort of a gem on cape. Greta quality meats and produce for ingredients and everything has a little Nepalese flair to it. Just really superb everything I've tried has been incredible. Something a simple as a Cubans sandwich with moist mouthwatering ham or a grilled chicken salad with some mild but varied seasonings has me so craving it every time I think of it.
Not the biggest place for a large group but worth a stop in for lunch and absolutely for take out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danielle B.Wallingford, CT92619Oct 8, 2023
Extremely pleasant staff. Delicious food. We got the turkey panini and the chicken pest sandwich. Super flavorful. Great coffee as well.

Nice little place - we stopped for lunch while enjoying a day of shopping. I had the turkey and pesto panini - the bread was so good!! My friend had the avocado BLT. We both enjoyed our sandwiches - place is small so seating is limited and a short wait for food but it was well worth it! Seemed to be a lot of regulars coming in to get takeout orders which always confirms for me that a place is good.

What a great cafe! The food was fresh and creative. I loved that they had vegan options and would love to see even more in the future. The service was perfect the women who took our order was very helpful and knowledgeable on what allergies are in what. The ambiance was perfect a cute little cafe with outdoor seating as well as indoor. The prices are pretty good only a few items are over priced but at least the portions are good! Overall will be coming back. The vegan dumplings are to die for.
