Abstract
Tapesia yallundae, the teleomorph of Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides, is recorded in the field for the first time. Apothecia were found on wheat and barley stubble in Southland, New Zealand, during September 1987. All single-ascospore isolates obtained were of W-type morphology and most produced P. herpotrichoides conidia after reaching 10 mm in colony diameter on potato-dextrose agar.
