  • Conifer, evergreen, shrub, slow growing to 15-20 ft (4.5-6 m) tall and 7 ft (2 m) wide, dense, bright silvery gray (intensified in winter), often listed as columnar, but conical in the image here.
  • Sun.    Once established needs little additional water.
  • Hardy USDA Zone 4     Selected as a chance seedling in 1944 by Scott Wilmore of Wilmore Nursery, Wheatridge, Colorado; Plant Patent 848, 1949 (Jacobson, 1996).
