  • Conifer, evergreen, tree/shrub, densely branched, broad upright habit, vigorous, about 5 ft × 5 ft (1.5 m × 1.5 m) in 10 years,  Leaves (needles) light-green, they spiral around the thick branchlets and form twisted ropes of foliage.   "Occasionally, with age, this plants develops a stem and forms a narrow cone several meters tall, then the branches will spiral around the stem and the foliage is gradually changed" [less tightly spiraled] (Krüssmann (1985).
