Morphology

Behaviour
It is one of the few owls that can also be seen during the day, and its unique call is often heard at dawn and even on cloudy days.
Seen singly mostly, they are mostly crepuscular and nocturnal but can be seen during the daytime too . They share its preferred habitat of open forests with the Racket-tailed Drongo. It feeds mainly on beetles and other insects.
