Wonder why
What if Megan Fox is right on Wonder Woman's lameness?
Megan Fox, who was reportedly formerly in serious talks to don the famous leotard in Warner Bro. Pictures's Wonder Woman remake, is under new fire for slamming the lasso-wielding heroine. (So serious were some fans about getting her cast that website Wonder-who.com even fabricated a fake trailer and promotional poster).
But Fox apparently wanted none of it. She told Times Online that "Wonder Woman is a lame superhero. She flies around in her invisible jet and her weaponry is a lasso that makes you tell the truth. I just don’t get it. Somebody has a big challenge on their hands whoever takes that role but I don’t want to do it." (The interviewer noted that Fox was "clearly unfazed at the thought of ruling herself out of a potentially career-making franchise.”)
Her casual dismissal of the Amazonian princess, who's regarded as one of DC Comics' Holy Trinity of superheroes — along with Batman and Superman, irked former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter considerably. She fired back recently on the morning show "Fox and Friends" when asked what she thought about Fox assuming the role in a developing TV series: "Megan Fox actually kind of trashed Wonder Woman. She said she thought it was dumb. [...] I like her, I just thought she shouldn't trash Wonder Woman."
Generational feuding aside, we think both women are missing the point. When it comes to superpowers, we can all agree that Batman is the clear victor. Infinite supplies of money? What could be better than that?
Super-strength, the ability to fly and the truth can be bought. Tell us: Which superpower would you want most?
