Same on iOS 11 (today). It's less frequent than it used to be but do some zooming in and out that needs to load new trashpoints and you'll soon see the whale.

Yesterday from mobile i had "Fail whale" {HTTP 500 Internal Server Error} and in the same time the web admin page was unreachable.

Reproduced this behavior during sending request POST /api/v1/overview/trashpoints, POST /api/v1/overview/clusters . Reproduces really strange sometimes three times for same map area and than it comes ok

It happened to me today

Even from using the deployed web-app it is clear API response times are sometimes abysmal and/or break (500 or 504 responses). Do we have server connectivity issues? Resolving #39 would perhaps show it, but I guess a test could also be just scripted.

Message 500 on Samsung G3118H, Android version 4.4.4 and unable to take pictures (gallery closes down)
Message 500 on Alcatel Pixi 4, Android 6.0 ( and screen turns blank when I'm trying to take pictures)
And also message 500 on Tablet Lenovo A5500-H. Operation system is 4.4,2 (gallery stops working as well when I'm trying to take pictures)

Got a second error 500 after creating trashpoint in Offline -> going online -> clicking on edit trashpoint -> delete trashpoint: error
