Nomenclature

Family: GnomoniaceaeGenus: Apiognomonia
Species:
Apiognomonia errabunda
SUMMARY
Similar to Apiognomonia veneta but with ascospores that are slightly less strongly tapered at the apex [this only visible clearly in living material), ostiolar necks that tend to be slightly longer [though these may be poorly developed in some populations], and conidiomata that do not form on overwintered leaves.
A. errabunda does not occur on Platanus, the major host of A. veneta.
