That '70s Show cast: Where are they now?

It's been years since we last visited Point Place. (Feels like decades, though.) Catch up with your favorite stars from the beloved coming-of-age sitcom set in the '70s.

It's the golden age of revamps of beloved shows, so it's not surprising that Netflix created That '90s Show, a continuation of That '70s Show, which ran on Fox from 1998 to 2006.

That '70s Show was to the '90s what Happy Days was to the '70s: a light-hearted, nostalgia-fueled sitcom looking fondly back at a specific decade 20 years prior. That '70s Show's Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard) was Eric Forman (Topher Grace), a teenager with a stern dad (Kurtwood Smith as Red), a loving mom (Debra Jo Rupp as Kitty), an oddball collection of friends, and a huge crush on the red-headed girl next door (Laura Prepon as Donna). The sitcom offered a cheeky look at the decade (Who could forget the circular pot conversations in the basement? The trippy segues? The numerous guest spots by '70s luminaries like Charo, Shirley Jones, and Alice Cooper?), grounded in the Formans' cozy brand of family comedy and the genuine affection among the close friend group of Eric, Donna, Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), Hyde (Danny Masterston), Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), and Jackie (Mila Kunis).

Along with Netflix's That '90s Show comes the cameos of many of the main '70s Show cast members. Red and Kitty are regular characters as the grandparents of Eric and Donna's daughter Leia Forman (shout-out to the season one Star Wars episode, "A New Hope"), played by Callie Haverda, who comes to stay with them for the summer in Point Place, Wis. So of course both Eric and Donna showed up in the first season, along with some other Point Place residents, such as Kelso, Jackie, and Fez. But this successful spin-off (which was renewed for a 16-episode second season) got us wondering what that '70s crew has been up to over the past years. Read on to find out.

An unknown at the start of the series, Topher Grace quickly won over audiences with his wide-eyed appeal as Eric Forman, the character the rest of the '70s Show gang revolved around. After appearing in comedies like In Good Company (2004) and Win a Date With Tad Hamilton! (2004), he left the show that had made him famous in 2005, although he returned for the 2006 finale.

Grace then appeared in the ambitious role of Venom in the poorly received Spider-Man 3 (2007). He later popped up in prestige projects like Christopher Nolan's Interstellar (2014) and Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman (2018) with an impressively harrowing turn as former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke. In 2021, Grace returned to television, starring on the ABC family sitcom Home Economics, and went on to reprise the role of Eric Forman for the That '90s Show pilot in 2023.

Laura Prepon followed up That '70s Show with a few short-lived series, like the ABC drama October Road and the NBC sitcom Are You There, Chelsea?, based on Chelsea Handler's memoir. She also had a short stint on another hangout comedy, CBS' How I Met Your Mother. However, Prepon soon had a star turn on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black for seven seasons as the charismatic, raven-haired Alex Vause, winning a Screen Actors Guild award in 2017 with the rest of the cast and directing three episodes of the series.

She married fellow actor Ben Foster in 2018; they have two children. Since OITNB, Prepon appears to have turned her attention primarily to the written word, following up the 2016 volume she co-wrote, The Stash Plan: Your 21-Day Guide to Shed Weight, Feel Great, and Take Charge of Your Health, with a 2020 memoir: You and I, as Mothers: A Raw and Honest Guide to Motherhood, in which she garnered advice from her close group of mom friends — including Mila Kunis. She also appeared as Donna in several episodes of That '90s Show.

Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso)

Ashton Kutcher also left That '70s Show in 2005 (and returned for the finale) to star in a series of rom-coms of varying quality, like What Happens in Vegas (2008) and No Strings Attached (2011). Meanwhile, he not only amplified his social media presence, notably receiving a Guinness World Record for being the first person to amass a million Twitter followers in 2009, but became an early tech investor in the likes of Uber, Airbnb, and Spotify.

Back on the acting front, Kutcher broke into more lauded film territory with a spot-on turn as Steve Jobs in 2013's Jobs. Eventually, he also wandered back to the familiar sitcom world, replacing the troubled Charlie Sheen on CBS' Two and a Half Men, and costarring with his '70s Show castmate Danny Masterson on Netflix's The Ranch. Kutcher also starred in B.J. Novak's thriller Vengeance (2022) and the rom-com Your Place or Mine (2023) with genre queen Reese Witherspoon. And of course, he married his '70s Show costar...

Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart)

Mila Kunis famously lied about her age to get her role on That '70s Show, so she was only 14 when the series began. But the former child actor seamlessly made the transition to adult roles. Soon after she started on That '70s Show, she also took on the iconic role of Family Guy's Meg Griffin, who she has voiced for the entirety of that Fox series.

Her post-'70s career has had more hits (2008's Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 2010's Black Swan) than misses (2015's Jupiter Ascending), even kicking off a mini-franchise with Bad Moms (2016) and Bad Moms Christmas (2017). In 2022, she appeared in the film adaptation of Jessica Knoll's popular suspense novel Luckiest Girl Alive. And yes, Kunis wed her former '70s costar Ashton Kutcher in 2015, and they have two kids, so Jackie and Kelso are married in real life. Sure, Jackie wound up with Fez in the finale of That '70s Show, but c'mon, "Michael" was always her true love.

Danny Masterson (Steven Hyde)

Danny Masterson's most prominent post-'70s credit was on the aforementioned Netflix sitcom The Ranch. But in recent years, his headlines went beyond any film or TV roles, as numerous women brought sexual assault charges against him. Masterson was arrested in June 2020 and charged with three counts of rape. His criminal trial was declared a mistrial in November 2022, but in a 2023 retrial he was found guilty of raping two women and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.

Masterson is the only main '70s cast member who did not appear on That '90s Show and was also cut out of a 25th anniversary display at 2023 Comic-Con.

Wilmer Valderrama (Fez)

Like Kunis, Wilmer Valderrama has a long-running voiceover credit to his name: He was Disney Junior's Handy Manny from 2006 to 2012. Since That '70s Show, he has also had short stints on series like Grey's Anatomy, Raising Hope, and, of course, The Ranch.

He has played Nick Torres on NCIS since 2016, and is at work on the Disney+ version of Zorro. But unlike the socially awkward Fez he played on That '70s Show, offscreen Valderrama is almost as famous for his dating life as his acting roles; his list of famous exes includes names like Demi Lovato, Lindsay Lohan, and Mandy Moore. But it looks like his bachelor days are coming to an end: Valderrama is engaged to model Amanda Pacheco. The pair welcomed a baby daughter in February 2021.

Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman)

Kurtwood Smith was a veteran character actor for decades before playing Red Forman, the quintessential gruff sitcom dad with a heart of gold — who was forever surrounded by "dumbasses" and "morons."

After That '70s Show wrapped, he went back to playing utilitarian characters, appearing on series like 24, Medium, Agent Carter, and, you guessed it, The Ranch. He had an impressive turn on the buzzy Hulu series The Dropout, playing cutthroat lawyer David Boles, who was hired to defend Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. He has also done some impressive voice work on Regular Show and F Is for Family.

Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman)

Debra Jo Rupp was a sitcom vet by the time she joined That '70s Show cast, with stints on The Office, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, and as the wife/former teacher of Phoebe's brother on Friends.

After the That '70s Show wrapped, she went right back into showcasing her diverse acting range, appearing everywhere from As the World Turns to This Is Us to naturally, The Ranch. Like her onscreen spouse, Rupp also made an appearance in another high-profile series: She was a perfect fit as a member of Wanda's fantasy sitcom world in Disney+'s WandaVision.
