Jaffe 8-9 PM · CBS · Returns Sept. 28 If you thought this series was strictly a gothic mystery (or perhaps a gravity-defying cleavage mystery), executive producer John Gray has news for you: ”We are very interested in pumping up our scary quotient in the show.” In fact, the Jennifer Love Hewitt drama seems on the verge of a creative reincarnation in season 3: ”We’re going to delve into the mythology of ghost whisperers as a breed and talk about the history of people who can do this and how it ties in to the town of Grandview,” says Gray. Along with the return of Melinda’s parents (Anne Archer and Martin Donovan), he says, ”we’re adding a couple new characters. One is a kid named Justin Yates [played by Omid Abtahi], a university student who’s also a blogger. He’s doing a sort of Grandview Drudge Report, and he’ll come into conflict with Melinda.” We can already predict the spin-off: Ghost Bloggerer!
