Krisztián Bódis: BUDAPEST STREET | Photo exhibition in the Liszt Institute of Sofia

Date: 25 September - 30 October
Time: 06:00
Venue:  Liszt Institute Sofia
Sofia 1000, Akszakov street 16.

"I graduated as an architect, photography came as a hobby, I switched to it after spending 5 years in my profession. As a freelance photographer my occupation is mostly about photographing buildings, advertisements and events. I've started taking pictures about Budapest in 2009,  but since 2014 I cooperate with the capital and my works are regularly published by We Love Budapest. I founded Budapest Images in 2016, which is the largest photo database about Budapest. This year I joined BPSPC (Budapest Street Photography Collective), which is an art collective of street photographers based in Budapest.

For this exhibition, I selected thematic pairs of pictures about Budapest's scenes from the past 10 years. One part of the pictures are strongly related to Budapest, the other part could've been taken in an arbitrary city. What they've got in common is the unreapeatability of the moment"

Krisztián Bódis (1985) is a hungarian contemporary photographer, in his style he combines the spontaneousness of a photojournalist with the precision of architectural photography. Graduated as a civil engineer, he sees the city's geometric compositions through a unique way of vision, telling stories through these scenes.

"The biggest joy is when I can capture a rare, alive and unrepeatable moment. I don't aim climbing extreme places and taking photos of amazing perspectives, but finding such places and points of wiev which are reachable to anybody, yet still no one discovered them."
