To help celebrate his new album, Latin singer-songwriter Julio Iglesias, Jr., is bringing his tour on the road through Syracuse.

Come Saturday, Aug. 26, The Great New York State Fair attendees will not only hear the songs Iglesias, Jr., is noted for, including "Nothing Else" and "One More Chance," but an earful of popular tunes featured in his Under the Covers album. The February 2023 release features Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On,” George Michaels’ “Careless Whisper,” and Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World" to name a few, but there's also a Syracuse connection, too. One of the featured songs, “Into the Night,” was recorded as a duet with the song’s originator, Benny Mardones, who adopted Syracuse as his hometown in his final years before his death in 2020, following complications from Parkinson's disease.

Iglesias, Jr., taking the Chevy Court stage at 6 p.m. also comes almost 40 years after his father Julio Iglesias, who is recognized as the most commercially successful Spanish artist played at the Grandstand on August 29, 1984.

All shows part of the Chevrolet Music Series are free with Fair admission. The Great New York State Fair admission is $6 for adults and free for those 65 and older and 12 years and younger.
