Marble Hall
The representative reception area of the museum is built in Neo-Renaissance style and is named after its elegant marble panelling. On both sides of the hall there are the flight of stairs leading to the first floor, lined with balustrades, while its landing is connected as a gallery with columns to the marble hall, providing a magnificent view over the hall.

Renaissance Hall
The Renaissance Hall of the Museum of Fine Arts is unique in the whole of Europe in its collection of frescos, originating from Perugia and Bergamo from the 14-15th centuries. The Venetian fountains, exhibited in the hall testify for the exquisite skills of the Italian stone carvers, featuring early and late Renaissance decorative motives.

Roman Hall
The space, resembling that of a basilica is richly painted and is made even more magnificent by the plaster replicas of the church gates from Freiberg and Gyulafehérvár. In accordance with Christian iconography, the walls are decorated by figurative, ornamental and heraldic symbols as well as frescos of Hungarian saints and historic figures. This hall was severely damaged in WW2, therefore closed from the public for 70 years, but now it is re-opened. A dedicated range of merchandise is also available.

Baroque Hall
According to the original plans of the architects, this hall represents a palace court within the building, featuring the forms of Baroque architecture. Paintings in this hall are selected from the Old Gallery’s collection of Italian Masters. The hall today revokes the atmosphere of the ancient aristocratic collections. This impressive hall will be available from October 2019.

Michelangelo Salon
This freshly renovated salon used to house offices before. However, from 2018 it is an ideal venue for minor exhibitions, conferences, partner parties and receptions.

Schickedanz Salon
This ambient salon on the first floor, named after Albert Schikedanz, the architect of the museum, is ideal for minor conferences, workshops, thanks to its modern built-in technology.
