Acer Aspire 9300 - Recovery DVD and HDD image

Laptop: Acer Aspire 9300 (9302AWSMi)

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit
Language: Norwegian / Norsk (English can be installed, instructions below)

Recovery media:
- Recovery DVD (Needs partitioned HDD)

- Recovery Partition (Raw HDD Image)

Installation:
Option 1: Write the raw HDD image and start recovery at boot with ALT + F10 or Recovery DVD

Option 2: Partition the HDD and start recovery by booting the Recovery DVD

Requirement:
The HDD needs to be partitioned properly before the "Recovery DVD" will work. Basically, a small primary partition needs to exist before the main Windows primary partition.

See "Partition setups" folder for picture examples and MBR copies.

Connect the HDD to another computer and copy the raw HDD image, or one of the MBR's using something like: https://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/

Or partition similarly via a live Linux distro, Hiren’s BootCD, BartPE etc.

English language:

English (and other) language can be installed via the application Vistalizator.

Will this work on other models?

I have not tested, but I can imagine it does for similar Vista era laptops.
