Little Kingfisher Alcedo pusilla halli on Western Cape York Peninsula

Abstract

The distribution of the Little Kingfisher Alcedo pusilla halli subspecies in Queensland has been uncertain for some time. Observations of the Little Kingfisher on the western side of Cape York Peninsula by the author during 1999 suggest that more work needs to be done before it can be confidently stated where each subspecies exists on Cape York Peninsula.
