Common Name: Jack Frost Redwood
Jack Frost' is a beautiful variegated form of the Dawn Redwood. This deciduous conifer has many of the same characteristics as the species, though it is much slower growing than most Metasequoias, and is also slightly smaller. 'Jack Frost's' needles are light green and fern-like, with large snow-white dots, which fade to a solid light green in the summer. Its growth habit is narrow and pyramidal with horizontal branches.
