The Mouse-brown Sunbird is distributed near to the coast of West and Central Africa from Senegal through Nigeria and Cameroon to Angola. Although normally close to the coast in mangroves, farmland and gardens, it also penetrates inland along the major rivers.

Brown Sunbird, Volta River, Ghana, May 2011 - click for larger image It has a short and only slightly decurved bill, is grey-brown above and paler below with white above and below the eye giving a spectacled look.
