Descripteur : Host

Hosts are terrestrian vertebrates.
Nematode of the sub-familly of Heligmonellinae are parasite of 7 famillies or sub-families of vertebrate mammal :

-Cricetidae is a family of rodents in the large and complex superfamily Muroidea. It includes truehamsters, voles, lemmings, and New World rats and mice. At almost 600 species, it is the second largest family of mammals.

-Leporidae are the approximately 50 species of rabbits and hares which form the family Leporidae. The leporids, together with the pikas, constitute the lagomorphs, one of the orders of mammals. Leporids differ from pikas in having short furry tails, and elongated ears and hind legs. The name leporid is derived from Latin leporis, genitive of lepus, a hare.

-Sciuridae or squirrels are a large family of rodents. The word Sciuridae means "shade-tail," and refers to the bushy appendage possessed by many of its members. It includes tree squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, the marmots (which include woodchucks), and the true flying squirrels. The African scaly-tailed flying squirrels, which belong to the family Anomaluridae, are not sciurids. Sciurids are found in allcontinents except Australasia and Antarctica.

- Moles are members of the family (Talpidae) of mammals in the order Soricomorpha that live underground, burrowing holes. Some species are aquatic or semi-aquatic. They have cylindrical bodies covered in fur with small or covered eyes; the ears are generally not visible. They feed on small invertebrate animals living underground. Moles can be found in North America, Europe, Asia and the eastern seaboard of Australia.
