Korán Csaba master of violin making

I was born in 1968 in Budapest. After graduating in Szent István grammar school, I became a student of string instrument making. After acquiring the craftsmanship I worked under the direction of master Blaszauer Robert. Since 1991 I have been making and repairing instruments in my own manufactory. I prepared for the master exam with the help and the professional guidence of master Temesvári Péter, and I gained the master's certificate in 1998.

In 2004 I took part in a course for master piece protection assistance organised by the Hungarian National Museum, where I mainly gained knowledge about the basics of the restorer profession.

I am a regular attendant of the national and international musical instrument exhibitions and competitions.

Primarily I make classical instruments like violin, cello, viola, however in the last couple of years I got enthusiastic about the baroque instruments, the making of which I find absolutely challenging.

I have learnt to play the cello for 2 years and I have been a member of a renaissance choir since 1999.
