Jim Carrey, Jenny McCarthy split up

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy both posted the news of their break-up on Twitter Wednesday.
Carrey's representative also confirmed this to the media, "Jim and Jenny have recently decided to end their five-year relationship."
On his Twitter account, Carrey, 48, wrote, "Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I'm grateful 4 the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best! S'okay!"

Soon after that, McCarthy too Tweeted about their break-up. "I'm so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart," she wrote. Jane is Carrey's adult daughter from his first marriage.
Carrey and McCarthy began dating in 2005; the two had supported each other through many life events.
They regularly appeared on red carpets together and at autism events, as McCarthy’s son Evan was previously diagnosed with the condition. Also the couple had been through the birth of Carrey's first grandchild after Jane gave birth to a son in February.
